I have written six books in the Pecan Bayou Series where Betsy, The Happy Hinter has tripped over bodies in a haunted hospital, in a library, in a swarm of bees, by a cowboy fountain, in a burned out building and even fought off a hurricane while being chased by a murderer while in labor. Okay, that last one is a little much for any woman, but now my Betsy is off another adventure. I’m not ready to reveal all yet, other than Pecan Bayou #7 will be available in the last week of April 2017. The book will also be FREE for the first five days in May so as much as I want you to buy the book, I’d love for you to pick it up for free and leave a review on Amazon.
Here is a little corner of the book cover. And now, all of you cozy detectives out there–what do you see? What will this book be about?

Here is a little about the book:

Betsy Livingston Fitzpatrick, local helpful hints columnist for the Pecan Bayou Gazette, is trying keep her mind off of being nine months pregnant in the blistering Texas summer heat. Troubled by haunting dreams, she pursues the odd animal thefts in a case that soon turns into murder. As Betsy closes in on the killer, a hurricane is headed straight for the Gulf Coast sending spin-off storms and tornadoes to the little town of Pecan Bayou. “Hunker down” with Betsy and the lovable characters of Pecan Bayou in the latest Betsy Livingston mystery from cozy author Teresa Trent. So, there I was working away on the final edit of my third book in the Pecan Bayou Series. I was within a few hours of finishing and…BAM. I fell and broke my wrist. It took me several days to be able to move my thumb again but here it is!
Give me land lots of land….and a puppy on the loose. When Betsy Livingston’s puppy runs away, she has no idea it will lead her to a murder on a movie cowboy star’s estate. Not only has there been a murder, but the town reports sightings of the dead cowboy himself. He’s out to seek revenge on all who wronged his daughter who became the victim of her own money-loving butler. Enjoy a little time on the Fourth of July in the tiny town of Pecan Bayou, Texas where old cowboys never die...
You can pick up a copy here.
It will be out in paperback form by next week.
I have to admit after my dear dog Hank died last year, I found myself watching Marley and Me over and over again. The puppy in the book has all the great qualities Hank had except he never chewed the arm off of a leather couch. (Black duct tape works well for repairs. Betsy would be so proud of my helpful hint!)
