Join Betsy (aka The Happy Hinter) for a good old small-town Christmas complete with Christmas carols, over the top light displays, delicious food, loving friends and…a Christmas Creeper. One of the residents of Pecan Bayou has a secret and you’d better lock the door because that isn’t Santa out there or even a stray elf. Enjoy spending Christmas with the town and family you’ve come to know in the Pecan Bayou Series. Recipes and helpful hints included!
You can find Oh Holy Fright on Amazon!
Heading off to my class reunion this weekend so no Cozy Friday, but I’ll be back next week.
Here I am in a class photo, desperately waiting for big hair to come out in the 80’s.
I attended my first Malice Domestic this weekend in Bethesda, Maryland! I loved getting to meet Nicole Leiren, Jim Cangany, Sandra Bretting, Colleen Shogun, Jenna Harte, Maggie Touissant, Dane McCaslin, along with my agent Dawn Dowdle and so many others. I had two favorite things: Doing my first panel with Sandra Bretting and getting to listen to Rhys Bowen interview Louise Penney. All those mystery writers in one hotel, and yet no one tripped over a body, not even at the bar.
All of these panels and interviews will be on MaliceDomestic.org in the future so if you want to listen to my panel or one of the many others, you can! Here I am with Sandra Bretting, also from Houston!

Praise for Murder of a Good Man (A Piney Woods Mystery)

Family secrets abound in this small town novel. . . Not an easy mystery to figure out.
There is an amazing amount of secrets revealed that I never really saw coming making this a fascinating read, to say the least.
~Books a Plenty Book Reviews
The characters are fun, believable, charming and welcoming.
I can’t wait to read more about this little town.
~My Reading Journeys
An intriguing start to a new series set in the Piney Woods of East Texas. And since I have family in East Texas, I felt like I was right at home.
. . . an interesting and well-paced start to a new cozy mystery series.
We’re rounding the bend toward home, but first, let’s visit two more blogs today! I am being featured at Queen of All She Reads (Aren’t we all!) and then after that, I’m in the spotlight at Socrates Book Review where the comments are hopping! Stop by and leave me a note 😉
