This is the beginning of Betsy, Leo, Zach, Aunt Maggie, Danny and Judd. Betsy is surviving as a single parent after her husband walked out on her seven years earlier. This is where she gets her start as a helpful hints writer and the book where she runs headlong into that handsome meteorologist, Leo Fitzpatrick.
As I said, this was the first book I ever attempted to write, and well, as I look back on it, I would love to write it all over again. One thing about writers–we NEVER stop editing. But it gave birth to all my favorite characters in the the sleepy little town of Pecan Bayou, Texas. Fun fact- there is no town by this name in Texas, but there is a bayou. (Texas is full of them.)
