Cozy Prizes Friday: Clairvoyant and Present Danger

Clairvoyant and Present Danger (A Bay Island Psychic Mystery)
by Lena Gregory

So do you believe in ghosts or are you the skeptic? Lena Gregory explores both opinions on the subject in her latest mystery, Clairvoyant and Present Danger. She was kind enough to answer some questions about how she came up with her series and to share her Rafflecopter Giveaway: a $25 Amazon Gift Card!

How did you come with an idea for your book?

The idea for the Bay Island Psychic Mysteries series originated from a “discussion” between my husband, my daughter, and me about whether or not ghosts were real. The original concept for the story was about a psychic medium who wasn’t even quite sure she was actually contacting the dead, one friend who believed whole heartedly that she was (Stephanie) and one friend who remained skeptical despite evidence to the contrary (Bee).

What scene do you hope your readers enjoy the most?

I have two favorite scenes in Clairvoyant and Present Danger, both involving Bee. The first takes place on the beach, when Bee is once again talked into doing something way outside of his comfort zone. The second takes place in a park, when Bee stands up for someone he really cares about.

What other things have you written or what projects might we see in the future?

Besides the Bay Island Psychic Mysteries series, I also write the All-Day Breakfast Café Mysteries series, in which Gia Morelli leaves her life in New York to open a café on the outskirts of the Ocala National Forest in Florida.

If you could write any other genre what would that be?

I would probably write fantasy, since it’s one of my favorite genres to read.

Is there a giveaway or promotion with this book?

Yes, there is a tour-wide rafflecopter giveaway.

Where can readers leave reviews of your book?

I’m always happy to have reviews anywhere! Amazon and Goodreads are especially helpful.

Whoever said that dead men tell no tales has never met Cass Donnovan…

Cass has always relied on her abilities to guide her, but after communications with a ghost land her in the middle of a murder investigation, she has to wonder if her gifts are really more a curse.

Cass knows she is meant to help track down the killer–much to the chagrin of local law enforcement–when the apparition leads her to a dead body on the beach near her psychic shop, Mystical Musings. But the police are not the only ones who wish Cass would stick to reading palms. Someone is trying to scare her off, and it will take all her powers of premonition to catch the killer before Cass herself becomes the next victim…

Lena Gregory lives in a small town on the south shore of eastern Long Island with her husband and three children.

When she was growing up, she spent many lazy afternoons on the beach, in the yard, anywhere she could find to curl up with a good book. She loves reading as much now as she did then, but she now enjoys the added pleasure of creating her own stories.

  1. I can’t wait to read this I love your books.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing the release of Clairvoyant and Present Danger! And thank you for having me. I enjoyed visiting 🙂

  3. I like the play on words in the title of this book. While growing up I remember the Magic 8 Ball and Ouiji board as trying to figure out the future. I’ve seen psychics working on TV and talking to spirits of those who have passed on and relaying messages to their families.

  4. Thank you, Sunnymay! I grew up trying to figure out the future the same way. I still can’t walk past a Magic 8 Ball without stopping and asking a question. lol
