Vangie Vale wants nothing more than to stay under the radar…especially the police radar.
So when her new bakery becomes linked to a murder investigation, nothing will stop the gossip mill from connecting her to the dead body. Can’t have that.

How did you come with an idea for your book?

I was actually eating a macaron one day and I had a weird thought about what would happen if someone went through “death-by-macaron”. Not that they’re a dangerous food… it’s just my weird brain. I often think, “how would someone die while doing/eating/wearing this”. I guess that’s why I write mystery/suspense. J

What scene do you hope your readers enjoy the most?

My absolute favorite scene in this book is toward the end, so I won’t give it away, because it’s a leeeeetle bit of a spoiler. But let’s just say, Malcolm is in it. **wink**

What other things have you written or what projects might we see in the future?

I’m just about finished with the second Vangie Vale book, which will be about the Corpseless Custard, and I’m so excited for this book. It’s been even more fun for me than Murdered Macaron was.

If you could write any other genre what would that be?

I imagine I will write a little darker mystery series at some point. If you read an early version of this book, you know this was a little darker book originally, and after some feedback from superfans of the cozy mystery genre, I changed a few things. But at some point, I will probably write something a little more Criminal-Minds-y.

Is there a giveaway or promotion with this book?

We are doing giveaways on several different blogs, aaaaaaaand, I’m super excited to announce that we’re doing a local book signing in Bozeman, Montana (the inspiration for Madison Falls, in Vangie’s series) at the Country Bookshelf indie bookstore. I’m very excited about that. The Big Sky Bakery will be catering, and we will have lots of fun!

Where can readers leave reviews of your book?

On Goodreads, or on Amazon. I would love to get them! I always like to hear what readers think, no matter what they thought of the book.
