Two Books to Look Forward to This Fall

Here are two books that are coming out this fall that you won’t want to miss. Both are on pre-order at Amazon at this time.

Remain-Coming October 14

Paranormal Mystery

This was a thoroughly enjoyable story with a mix of small town Massachusetts life and paranormal activity in an old house. An architect is hired to come up with plans for his best friend’s house and stays in a rental house where he meets the ghost of Wren. She is a beautiful woman, but elusive, and at first he doesn’t realize she is a ghost. As Wren’s story unfolds, the tension in the story rises and brings the reader to an exciting ending. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and was intrigued by the thought of Nicholas Sparks and M. Night Shyamalan working together. I have to say it’s a good partnership. I enjoyed the normal/paranormal world they created in Remain.

The Mad Wife– Coming September 30

Psychological Thriller

I knew this book would be interesting when it started with a quote from Sylvia Plath. This story takes place in a time when housewives were trapped in domesticity doing things like raising children, and making jello salads. In other words, the 1950s. The main character, Lulu, has one child and then finds she is pregnant with a second. The story details her thoughts as she transforms into madness. She is obsessed with the house across the street because she was close to the people who moved out. When a new family moves in, her obsession transfers to them, and she can’t stop thinking that something isn’t right about them. This book has a fifties suburbia vibe to it, and I loved the women who lived in Lulu’s neighborhood. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and the ending was great. I would recommend The Mad Wife.
