Good books have a rhythm and this one never lost a beat. Books really do have a rhythm. There are those which seem to stop and start and those which flow as smoothly as a waltz. There is nothing more enjoyable than to read a book with no “hiccups” in the rhythm. Well, this first book in the Piney Woods Mystery Series was a waltz. I enjoyed every moment of it and the author truly never missed a step.
~Long and Short Reviews
This story has a great vibe to it and fits the cozy mystery category perfectly. [….] I thoroughly enjoyed all of the twists, some I did not even see coming. All of the characters were well-developed and each added their own touch.”
~Coffeetime Romance and More
This is the first in Trent’s series set in Piney Woods, and it bodes well for the series. As cozies go, this is not only a fun read, but it moves along quite well. [….] This is a keeper

“Small town Texas charm and a fabulous eye for detail.

Family secrets abound in this small town novel. . . Not an easy mystery to figure out.
There is an amazing amount of secrets revealed that I never really saw coming making this a fascinating read, to say the least.
~Books a Plenty Book Reviews
The characters are fun, believable, charming and welcoming.
I can’t wait to read more about this little town.
~My Reading Journeys
An intriguing start to a new series set in the Piney Woods of East Texas. And since I have family in East Texas, I felt like I was right at home.
. . . an interesting and well-paced start to a new cozy mystery series.
We’re rounding the bend toward home, but first, let’s visit two more blogs today! I am being featured at Queen of All She Reads (Aren’t we all!) and then after that, I’m in the spotlight at Socrates Book Review where the comments are hopping! Stop by and leave me a note 😉
Here’s where the giveaway stands at this posting! Click on one of the sites above to enter and good luck!
There is nothing like a road trip and today we start off with a great review at Cassidy’s Bookshelves and then we head over to Montana Bookaholic! The temperature in Montana today is at 25 degrees while sunny South Texas is at 48. So glad to be virtually traveling.
Thanks for all the comments when you stop by 🙂 I read them all and love seeing them! Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a digital copy of this book and $20 Amazon Gift Card.

Don’t you just love traveling? Today we are hopping over to Self-Rescue Princess (my kind of girl!) to hear what my main character Nora Alexander has to say in her very own guest post.
After that, we head over Books Direct where I am guest posting about my writing process and there is an excerpt from Murder of a Good Man.
Thank you for all of the great comments everyone is leaving and don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a digital copy of a Murder of a Good Man and a $20 Amazon Gift Card.

Today we are off to My Reading Journeys for an interview and a wonderful review! Thank you very much. Her logo states she started her reading journey with Trixie Belden. Remember that series? Strangely enough, I think I started with Little Women. No, I’m not that old, but I was at a small town library and they hadn’t updated the fiction for a while. Loved those girls.
After that, we head to Storybook Reviews.
“An intriguing start to a new series set in the Piney Woods of East Texas…” 4 Paws!
I will be sharing this review with Max and Martin, my amazing dog co-writers.
Welcome to day three of my book tour! Today I’m at Island Confidential where Nora Alexander, my main character tells all about the book and a little about me! Then I received a wonderful review at Books a Plenty Book Reviews. I kind of like the idea of being on an island with books aplenty. Works for me! Don’t forget to enter my giveaway for a digital copy of Murder of a Good Man and a $20 gift card from Amazon!

If you missed yesterday’s stops Murder of a Good Man received a great review from Laura’s Interests.
Family secrets abound in this small town novel. Nora has one last thing to deal with before her old life comes to its conclusion and she begins again. She has no idea why her mother wants a letter hand delivered. As life takes unexpected turns for Nora and secrets unfold, she repeatedly wonders why her mother could not just have mailed her last letter.
Characters who you want to like while not knowing who you can trust.
Characters who you want to dislike, but you see they have redeeming value.
Not an easy mystery to figure out. ~Laura’s Interests Book Blogger
Ready to go blog hopping? My tour starts today with a visit to Laura’s Interests! Time to hop in the car, and don’t worry, we won’t be staying at Hickelby’s Motor Lodge. We’re heading for the Tunie Hotel in beautiful downtown Piney Woods.
Okay, maybe we won’t have this dude standing around, but you get the idea. Here is the rest of the schedule if you want to hop along. Be sure to enter my giveaway and leave a comment so I know you stopped by!
