So if you had to decide between cleaning house or solving crimes which would you choose? I just read Gayle Carline’s mystery Hit or Missus and I’m glad her sleuth Peri chose the life of crime solving. Here is my review published on Goodreads.

What a great mystery! Peri Minneopa is a cleaning lady turned private eye with a handsome boyfriend on the Placentia police force. Hit or Missus takes us through a cheating spouse case with some delightful characters like Benny who lives and breathes all things Dean Martin, and Mr. Mustard the orphaned cat. I really enjoyed the complexity of the plot and was surprised by the underlying story that was neatly woven into the ending. Now I want to read the first book!
